A full day inside Kruger from the southern side, entering from the Marloth Park and Crocodile Bridge end of the park rather than the busier Hazyview gates. The group meets at the Marloth Park tourist information centre on Olifant Street at five in the morning; pickup within Marloth Park is available on request, and arrangements can be made for guests staying in Komatipoort or Malelane.
The vehicle is an open safari vehicle capped at ten guests, led by a ranger guide, and the drive runs about ten hours. Coffee or tea is provided.
Breakfast, other meals and the Kruger conservation and entrance fees are not included, so factor those in. The five o’clock start exists because Kruger’s gates open at 05:30 in the summer months and the first two hours after sunrise are when predators are still moving.
